Mail Manager with critical strategies for establishing and utilizing
performance measures to improve team performance and the value of
the Mail Center to customers, stakeholders, employees, and managers.

Ms. Kim Wilkerson, Mailing Requirements Clerk St. Louis Business
Solution Center. If you are a first-time mailer or want a refresher course
on commercial mail, this workshop will help you understand your mailing
options and help you make the right choice for your business.

Are You Marketing or Are You Really Marketing?

Marketing should be a critical part of your business plan and viewed as
a strategy. Every customer touchpoint should be considered and blended
into an ongoing plan to promote customer retention, growth and acquisition.

Mike McInturf, USPS. Explores the intersections of customers, products,
service, and information. Whether dashboards or new techniques such as
customer journey maps are used, you will learn how the U.S. Postal Service
has incorporated these to improve your experience as a valued customer.

Secrets of Successful Leaders

successful leaders. The mail industry has changed, but the players are
the same. Are you a game changer or do you just react to change? How
do you identify a game changer? How can you honestly evaluate yourself
to determine if you are a game changer?

1:30 – 2:15 PM: Ship Smarter - Mr. Tom Hazel, Pitney Bowes
What’s changed at UPS, FedEx, and USPS in 2017. How the recently
implemented changes add complexity. The impact of rate changes based on
where you ship, what you ship, and when you need it delivered. Navigating
carrier service and surcharge maze to manage your shipping costs.

2:15 – 2:45 PM: UAA Best Practices & Solutions
Ms. Kai Fisher, USPS Address Management Support Analyst
Using the Address Quality and ACS “Best Practices” documents from MTAC
Work Group 177, attendees will learn how the mailing industry maintains
efficiency and manage Undeliverable as Addressed (UAA) mail.

2:45 – 3:30 PM: Informed Delivery - Ms. Carrie Bornitz, USPS.
This session introduces mailers to Informed Delivery® and describes how
this new delivery feature can be used for mailer interactive campaigns.
We’ll discuss the requirements for campaign participants, the elements
needed for a campaign, how to submit a campaign, and what types of data
is provided after the campaign is complete.
